AN ACT Relating to teachers' retirement; and adding a new section to chapter 41.32 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 41.32 RCW to read as follows:

          Any person receiving benefits under this chapter on or after the effective date of this section shall, in addition to the benefits, be covered by the state employees' health care plans under chapter 41.05 RCW in the same manner as state employees. Rates for these retired persons shall be established in the same manner as rates are established for retired state employees under RCW 41.05.080, and the department of retirement systems shall be considered the employer for the purpose of determining the employer contributions.
