AN ACT Relating to newspaper carriers; and adding a new section to chapter 49.44 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 49.44 RCW to read as follows:

          Newspaper carriers shall not be responsible for collecting money from newspaper subscribers.  Newspaper publishers shall bill their subscribers and pay newspaper carriers for their services.   A newspaper publisher shall not deduct money that is not collected from the pay of newspaper carriers.
