AN ACT Relating to exemptions from the insurance premiums tax; adding a new section to chapter 48.14 RCW; and adding a new section to chapter 82.04 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 48.14 RCW to read as follows:

          The taxes imposed in RCW 48.14.020 do not apply to premiums collected or received before July 1, 1990, for medical and dental coverage purchased under chapter 41.05 RCW.

NEW SECTION. Sec. 2.  A new section is added to chapter 82.04 RCW to read as follows:

          In computing tax there may be deducted from the measure of tax amounts paid out before July 1, 1990, for covered health services under medical and dental coverage purchased under chapter 41.05 RCW.
