AN ACT Relating to employees at state residential schools; and adding a new section to chapter 72.33 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 72.33 RCW to read as follows:

          At least ninety-nine percent of the employees at each state residential school under this chapter shall be permanent full-time employees.  The superintendent may request that this requirement be waived by the secretary on a temporary basis during conditions that are determined to be emergencies:  PROVIDED, That such waiver may not be in effect for more than thirty days total in each calendar year.
