AN ACT Relating to recreational fishing licenses; creating a new section; and declaring an emergency.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.     The department of fisheries and the department of wildlife shall provide to the ways and means and the environment and natural resources committees of the house of representatives and the senate a series of recommendations on simplifying and consolidating the fishing licenses of the two departments into a single document.  The report shall be submitted by September 1, 1988, and shall be made available to the public.

NEW SECTION. Sec. 2.     This act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety, the support of the state government and its existing public institutions, and shall take effect immediately.
