BACKGROUND:

 

Local governments are responsible for providing roads, streets, sewer systems, and water systems.

 

SUMMARY:

 

The Local Government Committee, Revenue Committee, Transportation Committee, and Trade and Economic Development Committee of the House of Representatives shall study the ability of local governments to finance their infrastructure needs arising from commercial construction and prepare, for introduction at the 1990 Legislative Session, any needed legislation authorizing the taxation of such development to finance such needs.
