BACKGROUND:

Currently, school districts may put in place a maintenance and operation school levy which will remain in effect for two years with the approval of a majority of the voters.

SUMMARY:

The duration of a levy is extended from two years to not exceeding four years for maintenance and operation levies for school districts.
