A physician assistant may prescribe, order, administer, and dispense legend drugs and Schedule II, III, IV, or V controlled substances consistent with the scope of practice provided:
(1) The physician assistant has an active DEA registration; and
(2) All prescriptions comply with state and federal prescription regulations.
