Meet these requirements if it is necessary to temporarily energize a machine, equipment, or component for testing or positioning.

You must follow your normal energy control procedures to:

(1) Remove the lockout or tagout devices.

(2) Energize the machine, equipment, or component.

(3) Reapply the lockout or tagout devices when testing or positioning is completed.
