(1) After you request a hearing, the OAH sends the parties a notice containing the hearing date, time, and place. This document is called the notice of hearing. The parties may also receive a written notice of a prehearing conference. You may receive a notice of a prehearing conference either before or after receiving the notice of the hearing.
(2) Before your hearing is held:
(a) The department may contact you and try to resolve your dispute; and
(b) You are encouraged to contact the department and try to resolve your dispute.
(3) If you do not appear for your hearing, an ALJ may enter an order of default or an order dismissing your hearing according to WAC
388-02-0285.
