(1) The width and height of door openings shall not exceed the width and height of the car by more than 1 in. in each dimension; except one door opening may be of sufficient size to permit installing and removing the car, but shall not be more than 57 in. in height.

(2) The bottom of the door opening shall be not less than 24 in. above the floor.
