Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 74.20A.310, 45 C.F.R. 303.11.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: This rule deals with the requirements for case closure. The federal regulations governing case closure have been amended. DCS also will be reviewing the rule under the criteria of Executive Order 97-02.
