Description: The Washington health care authority intends to submit medicaid state plan amendment (SPA) TN#12-003 concerning HCACs and OPPCs in order to comply with Section 2702 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and 42 C.F.R. 447.26. These federal regulations require states to implement nonpayment policies for HCACs and OPPCs as identified in the federal regulations. The SPA is currently under development; information regarding specific conditions and annual aggregate expenditures will be available at a later date.
