Title or Subject: Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) State Plan Amendments (SPA) 24-3000, 24-4000, and 24-5000.

Effective Date: November 1, 2024.

Description: The health care authority (HCA) intends to submit the following CHIP SPAs: 24-3000 Will update various items including links, program names, WAC references, available supported languages; 24-4000 will remove lock out periods for nonpayment of premiums for CHIP-eligible children; and 24-5000 will increase the percentage of the federal poverty level (FPL) from 193 to 210 percent for eligibility for the HCA's pregnancy-related programs.

These SPAs are expected to have no effect on the annual aggregate expenditures, reimbursement, or payment for CHIP programs as they address nonfinancially-related updates and eligibility only.

All these SPAs are in the development process; therefore, copies are not yet available for review. HCA would appreciate any input or concerns regarding this SPA.
