Purpose: To rescind an emergency amendment to WAC 388-290-055, filed as WSR 98-16-026 on July 28, 1998. It is necessary to rescind WSR 98-16-026 immediately. This emergency filing contains a typo that could give misleading information to the public about obtaining subsidized childcare while participating in the WorkFirst program.

Under RCW 34.05.350 the agency for good cause finds that immediate adoption, amendment, or repeal of a rule is necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, or general welfare, and that observing the time requirements of notice and opportunity to comment upon adoption of a permanent rule would be contrary to the public interest.
