WISHA Interim Operations Memorandum #99-4-A, "Asbestos-Containing
Asphalt Roof Cements, Coatings and Mastics," enacts a stay in
enforcement of WAC 296-62-077 and WAC 296-65 as applied to
construction and shipyard work involving asbestos-containing
asphalt roof cements, coatings and mastics. This memo takes
effect immediately and will remain in effect until repealed or
until final action on the proposed changes to the asbestos
standard has been completed. (Issued April 26, 1999)
WISHA Interim Operations Memorandum #99-4-B, "Head Protection
While Using ATVs and Motorcycles," provides guidance to WISHA
enforcement and consultation staff regarding the enforcement of
manufacturers' recommendations and general requirements for
personal protective equipment related to adequate head
