FISH AND WILDLIFE
Subject of Possible Rule Making: Recreational fishing rules for bottom fish.
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 75.08.080.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The Pacific Fishery Management Council has passed rules in the exclusive economic zone to reduce bag limits and seasons for certain species of bottom fish. In order to meet conservation requirements, complimentary regulations in adjacent and nearby state waters are necessary.

Process for Developing New Rule: Agency study.
