PREPROPOSAL STATEMENT OF INQUIRY
Subject of Possible Rule Making: Repeal of sections in chapter 180-78A WAC doing away with professional education advisory committee, professional certificate field tests, alternative models field tests, participating teachers field tests, and evaluation criteria field tests.
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 28A.305.130 (1) and (2), 28A.410.010, 28A.150.220(4).
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: To do one or more of the following, as deemed appropriate: Make technical adjustments, clarify existing provisions, repeal unnecessary wording, repeal provisions unsupported by rule-making authority, or provide greater flexibility or discretion to persons or entities subject to the rules.
Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: None.
Process for Developing New Rule: Early solicitation of public comments and recommendations respecting new, amended or repealed rules, and consideration of the comments and recommendations in the course of drafting rules.
