Subject of Possible Rule Making: Amend WAC 388-500-0005 Medical definitions.
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 74.08.090.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: MAA plans to rewrite some definitions for clarity, add definitions that are currently in other WAC chapters, and delete obsolete definitions. As MAA conducts the sunset review of its other WAC chapters, definitions that have been added to WAC 388-500-0005 from those chapters will be deleted from those chapters to eliminate duplication.

Process for Developing New Rule: The department invites the interested public to review and provide input on the draft language of this WAC. Draft material and information about how to participate are available by contacting the DSHS representative identified below.
