Subject of Possible Rule Making: Chapter 388-408 WAC, Assistance units, and related WAC. This WAC chapter will be revised to simplify the rules regarding who must be included in the assistance unit.
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 74.08.090 and 74.04.510.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The amendment of this rule will simplify programs rules to have a consistent policy for applicants and recipients.
Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: None.
Process for Developing New Rule: DSHS welcomes the public to take part in developing the rule(s). Anyone interested in participating should contact the staff person indicated below. After the rule is drafted, DSHS will file a copy with the Office of the Code Reviser with a notice of proposed rule making and send a copy to everyone currently on the mailing list and to anyone else who requests a copy.
