The Washington state rehabilitation council (WSRC) was established as a result of amendments made to the Rehabilitation Act in 1992 and by governor's executive order 94-04 (superseding executive order 93-04). The WSRC advises the department of social and health services, division of vocational rehabilitation and performs responsibilities outlined by the federal statute that established the WSRC. The WSRC is part of the governor's effort to move toward a collaborative and comprehensive statewide system of rehabilitation services for individuals with disabilities. The WSRC works to increase opportunities for self determination and empowerment of people with disabilities and to create awareness of people with disabilities as a valuable human resource.
Please note: The council requests that meeting participants do not use fragrances and scented products as an accommodation to other individuals.
