Subject of Possible Rule Making: WAC 220-130-040(2) Application period for aquatic lands enhancement account (ALEA) grants.
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 77.100.060.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The current rule on this subject,
which sets the application period for ALEA grants from January 2 to March 31, needs to be changed so a December 1 - February 28 application period can be set. The current end date of March 31 does not allow enough time for adequate preparation and execution of the application review and scoring process.
