     Subject of Possible Rule Making: Chapter 392-162 WAC, Learning assistance program.

     Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 28A.165.075.

     Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Modifications to address necessary changes resulting from the passage of the 2008 budget and 2SSB 6673 student learning opportunities.

     Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: None.

     Process for Developing New Rule:       Negotiated rule making.
