Notice of Interpretive or Policy Statement
In accordance with RCW 34.05.230(12), following is a list
of policy and interpretive statements issued by the department
of social and health services (DSHS).
Health and Recovery Services Administration (HRSA)Division of Legal Services
Document Title: # Memo 09-59.
Subject: Drug program: Maximum allowable cost update.
Effective Date: September 1, 2009.
Document Description: Effective for dates of service on
and after September 1, 2009, DSHS will:

Restrict coverage of over-the-counter drugs; |

Restrict coverage of drugs to treat cough and colds;
and |
| • |
Revise the current narcotic review program. |
