Notice of Interpretive or Policy Statement


     In accordance with RCW 34.05.230(12), following is a list of policy and interpretive statements issued by the department of social and health services (DSHS).

     Document Title: # Memo 10-46.

     Subject: Planned home births and births in birthing centers: Fee schedule updates.

     Effective Date: July 1, 2010.

     Document Description: Effective for dates of service on and after July 1, 2010, DSHS will update the planned home births and births in birthing centers fee schedule with the medicare physician fee schedule data base year 2010 relative value units and clinical laboratory fees.

     This memo also reminds providers that DSHS does not cover births in birthing centers for women identified with conditions outlined in WAC 388-533-0600(7).
