Notice of Interpretive or Policy Statement


     In accordance with RCW 34.05.230(12), following is a list of policy and interpretive statements issued by the department of social and health services.


Aging and Disability Services Administration

Division of Home and Community Services



     Document Title: Public Notice.

     Subject: Change to home and community based services (HCBS) waivers.

     Effective Date: July 1, 2011.

     Document Description: Home and community services (HCS), a division of aging and disability services administration (ADSA), intends to amend the following HCBS waivers in order to add comprehensive dental services as a waiver service:


• Community options program entry system (COPES - WA#0049),
• Medically needy residential (MNR - WA#0390),
• Medically needy in-home (MNI - WA#0419), and
• New Freedom (NF - WA#0443) waivers.

     These amendments implement legislative direction to provide comprehensive dental services to individuals enrolled in HCBS waivers.
