Subject: Termination of medicaid funding for 1915 (b)(3) mental health services.

     Effective Date: July 1, 2012.

     Document Description: Due to legislative action during the 2012 session, effective July 1, 2012, all medicaid funding supporting 1915 (b)(3) mental health services, commonly referred to as clubhouse, respite, and supported employment, is terminated. An amendment has been submitted to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to terminate 1915 (b)(3) funding, effective July 1, 2012. This amendment removes (b)(3) services from the medicaid mental health waiver. Because these changes affect all medicaid recipients, there is no right for a hearing to challenge these reductions.
