Effective Date: July 1, 2012.
Description: The medicaid agency proposes to create a quality incentive payment for qualifying noncritical access hospitals in accordance with RCW 74.60.130. Incentives are based on evidence-based treatment and processes and effective purchasing strategies used to improve health care outcomes for hospital patients. The incentive is a one percent increase to inpatient hospital rates for noncritical access hospitals that meet the quality incentive benchmark.
