INTERPRETIVE OR POLICY STATEMENT
In accordance with RCW 34.05.230(12), following is a list
of policy and interpretive statements issued by the health
care authority (HCA).
Legal and Administrative Services
Subject: Prescribing providers to be enrolled as participating providers with medicaid.
Effective Date: September 1, 2012.
Effective for dates of service on and after August 1, 2012, the medicaid program of the HCA will require any ordering, referring, or prescribing providers to be enrolled as participating providers with medicaid. The agency is implementing these requirements in accordance with 42 C.F.R. 455.410. Enrollment and screening of providers and 42 C.F.R. 455.440 National provider identifier.
