Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: ESSB 6511, passed during the 2014 legislative session, instructed the office of insurance commissioner (OIC) to reauthorize OneHealthPort's (OHP) administrative simplification efforts, and establish a new workgroup to develop recommendations for prior authorization requirements. This proposed rule making is based on the OHP recommendations regarding preauthorization of pharmacy benefits.

Process for Developing New Rule: Submit written comments by December 19, 2014, to Jim Keogh,, fax (360) 586-3109.
