EMPLOYMENT SECURITY DEPARTMENT

Effective Date of Rule: Thirty-one days after filing.
Purpose: Employers are required to keep their information up-to-date with the employment security department (department) under RCW
50.12.070. However, the department's current rules do not explicitly require employers to keep their addresses up-to-date with the department. This rule making adopts a new rule clarifying that employers must notify the department of a change in address within 30 days of the address change.

WAC 192-300-020What notice must a business provide to the department when changing its address?
When a business changes its address, the business must notify the department in writing within 30 days of the address change. The notification from the business must include its employment security department number, the previous address of the business, and the current address of the business.
