Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: SHB 1244, which amended RCW 46.20.2892, creates a process for termination of a suspension when a driver takes a safe driving course. The department of licensing is conducting rule making to further clarify the process for termination of a suspension for the accumulation of traffic infractions as outlined in SHB 1244 concerning training as an alternative to driver license suspension for the accumulation of certain traffic infractions.
