INTERPRETIVE STATEMENT

This memo serves as notice that the department of health (department) is rescinding Interpretive Statement ABA 23-01, Health Equity Continuing Education for Licensed Behavior Analysts (LBA) and Licensed Assistant Behavior Analysts (LABA), which was filed December 22, 2023, and published in WSR 24-02-025.

This statement clarified the department's interpretation that LBAs and LABAs must complete health equity training as part of their continuing education.

The department is rescinding this interpretive statement because it is no longer needed. Permanent rules were adopted under WSR 24-11-103, filed on May 17, 2024, for chapter 246-805 WAC.
