WSR 25-19-080
EMERGENCY RULES
DEPARTMENT OF
FISH AND WILDLIFE
[Order 25-220—Filed September 16, 2025, 9:19 a.m., effective September 16, 2025, 9:19 a.m.]
Effective Date of Rule: Immediately upon filing.
Purpose: The emergency rule being repealed is no longer needed, as permanent rules are in place beginning September 13, 2025.
Citation of Rules Affected by this Order: Repealing WAC 220-305-13000A [220-305-130000A].
Statutory Authority for Adoption: RCW 77.04.012, 77.04.020, 77.12.045, and 77.12.047.
Under RCW 34.05.350 the agency for good cause finds that immediate adoption, amendment, or repeal of a rule is necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, or general welfare, and that observing the time requirements of notice and opportunity to comment upon adoption of a permanent rule would be contrary to the public interest.
Reasons for this Finding: The new permanent rule to prohibit fishing near Washington state department of transportation ferry terminals was adopted under WSR 25-17-025 and goes into effect on September 13. Consequently, the emergency rule on this topic needs to be repealed.
