The Washington state department of commerce received a notice of intent (NOI) on September 10, 2025, from the City of Liberty Lake for voluntary approval of its housing element and associated development regulations under the state's new Housing Accountability Act (RCW 36.70A.835). Liberty Lake may apply for approval of its housing element and associated development regulations no sooner than 120 days from the receipt of the NOI.
