BOARD
[Filed September 24, 2025, 9:19 a.m.]
Subject of Possible Rule Making: The Washington state liquor and cannabis board (board) is considering amending WAC 314-55-105 to require cannabis harvest and processing dates to be displayed on the labels of all recreational cannabis products. This preproposal statement of inquiry is filed in response to a petition for rule making regarding WAC 314-55-105 that was approved by the board on March 13, 2024.
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW
69.50.342 and
69.50.345.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Rule making is necessary to consider possible changes to these current rules to require harvest or processing to be displayed on the product labels. Current rules do not require the harvest and processing dates of cannabis products to be included on the labels of recreational cannabis products.
Process for Developing New Rule: Collaborative rule making.
