BELLEVUE COLLEGE

Subject of Possible Rule Making: Chapter 132H-126 WAC, Student code of conduct.
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: Chapter 34.05 RCW and RCW 28B.50.140.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Revisions to Policy 2050/chapter 132H-126 WAC, Student code of conduct, are being made per the United States Department of Education's recent mandates. Revisions will include updates to align with the federal Stop Campus Hazing Act; updates to federal definitions, including fondling; and revisits to previous code edits lost when Bellevue College reverted to the 2023 version based on courts overturning the Title IX regulations.

Process for Developing New Rule: Proposed changes are being presented to the campus community for feedback and a public meeting will be held.
