Subject of Possible Rule Making: Calculating dual member benefits.

Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 41.50.050.

Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The department of retirement systems is developing a rule to clarify how dual member benefits are calculated when one retirement system permits the use of out-of-state service or accrued sick leave to qualify for benefits, while the other does not.

Process for Developing New Rule: Negotiated rule making.
