Title or Subject: Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) 26-0004 Correction to Outpatient Hospital Supplemental Payments.

Effective Date: January 1, 2026.

Description: The health care authority (HCA) intends to submit SPA 26-0004 to correct an error in Attachment 4.19-B page 16-1. A paragraph specifying dollar amounts for supplemental payments was removed via SPA 23-0046, approved on February 13, 2024, and effective January 1, 2024. This paragraph was inadvertently left in subsequent SPAs that were approved by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Therefore, HCA is submitting SPA 26-0004 to remove that paragraph.

SPA 26-0004 is expected to have no effect on current annual aggregate expenditures/payments.

A draft SPA is available for review. HCA would appreciate any input or concerns regarding this SPA.
