Subject of Possible Rule Making: Chapter 172-125 WAC, Discrimination and Title IX violations by students.

Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 28B.35.120(12).

Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Provide additional clarity about what types of behaviors constitute discrimination.

Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: Department of Education. Any updates to this regulation will be consistent with federal regulations.

Process for Developing New Rule: Negotiated rule making.
