Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Changes are necessary to implement chapter 134, Laws of 2026 (chapter 18.43 RCW). Changes will be made to reflect changes in licensing/certification processes, and clarify licensing requirements.

Process for Developing New Rule: Notice will be made to stakeholders and active licensees via the board of registration for professional engineers and land surveyors' (board) contact lists, and will be posted on our website and distributed through the board and board staff. Interested parties may contact the individual listed below and the public may also participate by commenting after amendments are proposed by providing written comments or giving oral testimony during the public hearing process.
