Title or Subject: Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) 26-0010 Remove Outdated 4.19-E Reference.

Effective Date: May 1, 2026.

Description: The health care authority (HCA) intends to submit SPA 26-0010 to remove an outdated reference to Attachment 4.19-E in the numbered pages section of the medicaid state plan. Washington's medicaid state plan does not contain Attachment 4.19-E Definition of a Claim Inquiry, because Washington describes payment and operational content in WAC and provider guides. Therefore, the reference is being removed.

SPA 26-0010 is expected to have no effect on the annual aggregate expenditures/payments. This is a "housekeeping" action and does not reflect significant changes to policy or payment.

A draft SPA is available for review. HCA would appreciate any input or concerns regarding this SPA.
