Subject of Possible Rule Making: Amending the Washington state investment board rules (chapter 287-04 WAC).
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 43.33A.110.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Amendments and updates are required for technical and clarifying changes based on statutory and policy changes.
Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: The executive ethics board regulates state ethics; however, this rule making will not conflict with the Executive Ethics Act or the executive ethics board's rules. The department of ecology conducts rule making pursuant to the State Environmental Protection Act; however, this rule making will not be substantive and will not conflict with the department of ecology's rules. The Washington state investment board will provide notice as required.
Process for Developing New Rule: Negotiated rule making.
