Title of Rule and Other Identifying Information: WAC 110-01-0120 How to make a public records request; other related rules.
Purpose of the Proposal and Its Anticipated Effects, Including Any Changes in Existing Rules: This rule change amends the department of children, youth, and families' (DCYF) public disclosure fax number, mailing address, and form name. There will be no impacts on affected parties.
Reasons Supporting Proposal: Provides correct information to the public when making public records requests.
Statutory Authority for Adoption: RCW
42.56.040.
Rule is not necessitated by federal law, federal or state court decision.
Name of Proponent: DCYF, governmental.

WAC 110-01-0120How to make a public records request.
(1) Public records requests ((should))may be made directly to the department's public records officer((.
(2) Public records requests may be made verbally or in writing.
(a) Written requests may be sent by email to dcyf.publicrecords@dcyf.wa.gov, by fax to 360-725-4925 or mail. Requests may be delivered to 1500 Jefferson Street S.E., Olympia, Washington or P.O. Box 40975, Olympia, WA 98504-0975.
(b))):
(a) Verbally; or
(b) In writing.
(2) Public records requests made in writing may be:
(a) Emailed to dcyf.publicdisclosure@dcyf.wa.gov;
(b) Faxed to 360-407-5571;
(c) Mailed to P.O. Box 40992, Olympia, WA 98504-0992; or
(d) Delivered in-person to 1500 Jefferson Street S.E., Olympia, Washington.
(3) The department's public records request form is available on its website or can be requested from the public records officer. The department recommends that requestors submit requests in writing using the department's public records request form.
(((c) A))(4) The department advises that written public records requests made without using the ((DEL))department's public records request form ((should)) contain at least the following information:
(((i)))(a) Name of requestor;
(((ii)))(b) Address of requestor;
(((iii)))(c) Other contact information, including telephone number and ((any)) email address;
