Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Lower Columbia College (college) is considering amendments to chapter 132M-126 WAC, Code of student conduct. The proposed amendments may modify, clarify, and update the college's standards of conduct for students. These revisions will include compliance with the 2020 Title IX regulations and their requirements concerning student disciplinary procedures addressing sex discrimination. Additionally, revisions may include updates to align with federal requirements under the federal Stop Campus Hazing Act, and may update other provisions of the student conduct code to reflect current issues and needs of the college and its students.
