The Washington state department of commerce (commerce) received a notice of intent (NOI) on July 1, 2026, from the city of Airway Heights for voluntary approval of its housing element and associated development regulations under the state's new Housing Accountability Act (RCW 36.70A.835). Airway Heights may apply for approval of its housing element and associated development regulations after receipt of the NOI.
