Subject of Possible Rule Making: Tribal peace officers purchasing service credit.

Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 41.26.567.

Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The department of retirement systems is undertaking rule making to expressly incorporate the requirements of RCW 41.26.567 regarding tribal general authority peace officers establishing service credit for prior service.

Process for Developing New Rule: Negotiated rule making.
